3. What data does the app process on your phone?

When you share content to ReelsBox or create it in the app, the app stores on your device:

The data is kept in the app's protected storage. Other apps cannot access it. Uninstalling the app or choosing "Delete all data" in the app deletes it.

Videos are never downloaded, only saved as links.

4. When does the app connect to the internet?

ReelsBox only uses the internet for preview images and titles and to open links:

For these requests the provider technically receives your IP address, device information (e.g. user agent) and the requested link. We have no influence on this. The provider's privacy policy applies:

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (providing the feature you use) and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in showing saved links clearly with image and title).

When you open a saved link, it opens in the matching app (e.g. TikTok) or your browser, where that provider's terms apply.

6. Backup file

In your profile you can create a backup. The file is created on your phone. Where you save or send it (e.g. email, cloud storage) is your choice; that service's terms then apply.

7. Google Play

The app is installed and updated via Google Play. Google processes data according to its own policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). If you have allowed usage and diagnostics in your Android settings, Google provides us with aggregated statistics and crash reports. These contain no content from ReelsBox.

We do not sell data, do not pass data to third parties and do not show ads.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. Because your content is only on your phone, you can change or delete it yourself at any time (in the app: Profile → "Delete all data", or uninstall the app).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

10. This website (reelsbox.de)

The website is served via GitHub Pages. Provider: GitHub B.V., Prins Bernhardplein 200, 1097 JB Amsterdam, Netherlands, a subsidiary of GitHub, Inc. (USA). When you visit it, GitHub processes technically necessary data (IP address, date and time, requested page, user agent) to deliver the site securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Data may be transferred to the USA. GitHub, Inc. is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
